About this event
On our first nature walk of 2023, we will look for signs of bever activity along the Dommel, encounter various duck species and other waterfowl, and visit Eindhoven's newest nature reserve: the Klotputten!
We might hear (and see!) beautiful kingfishers calling along the river and meet large flocks of wintering songbirds. Along the way, we will also look for animal tracks in the mud and enjoy the Winter landscape.
Are you coming?
Practicalities:
- We will meet near the big crossing of Bayeuxlaan and Antoon Coolenlaan (coords. 51.4173, 5.4658)
- This walk will take place with min. 4 persons and max. 12 persons.
- You will be guided by Nuno, an experienced and enthusiastic urban wildlife ecologist, which will share all his nature stories with you!
- The walk should be around 5 km long and last about 2 hours - depending on what we find along the way and how much time we stop.
- The paths will likely be muddy, so bring watertight walking shoes that you don't mind getting dirty.
- If you have them, bring your binoculars and/or photo camera as well (not mandatory).
